How a panto should look!
What a feast of colour and fun!
Clacton Amateur Operatic Society's production of Beauty and the Beast was all a panto should be.
An excellent Dame played by Clive Scoffin kept the audience in fits of laughter together with comedy duo Alphonse and Esmeralda well played by Sam McCarthy and Daniella Tyler.
Danielle Adams and Adam Peggs made a delightful pair as Beauty and Andre/Beast.
The baddies Grotilda, Keith Peck and Napoleon, Michael Mundell-Poole were very convincing.
The Rose Fairy Zoe McCarthy had a very good stage presence and a very pretty voice.
Graham Tippett was well cast as the Lord Chamberlain and Marian Stanton and Judy Jones delighted the audience with the antics as Hortence the horse.
The chorus, dancers and children were colourful and lively. The music was provided by Jane Shaw, Michael Hurren and Paul Codling.
The pantomime was directed by Nicola Mundell-Poole and Catrina Grimsey was the choreographer.
Collections taken during the pantomimes raised £2,300 for the Tsunami Fund.
